Event overview

Where it started.

Held at McPherson Park, our first "Cards for Hearts" event gathered volunteers of all ages who wanted to make a difference. The mission was simple but powerful: create meaningful cards to remind patients facing heart disease that they are not alone.

Creating the cards

The event began with tables full of colorful art supplies — markers, stickers, paper, and more. Driven by compassion, volunteers made over 70 unique cards with messages like "Keep going, you are strong!" and "Sending love and smiles!" Each card was carefully crafted to bring encouragement and warmth.

Spreading hope

Delivered by hand.

Once completed, volunteers delivered the cards to the cardiology floor of Texas Health HEB hospital, handing them out to patients with kind words and smiles. The cards brought comfort, showing patients they were supported and cared for during a difficult time.

Coming together

Beyond spreading hope, the event raised over $100 to support Heart to Heart's future efforts. Volunteers bonded, shared stories, and saw firsthand how small acts of kindness add up. Cards for Hearts was a reminder of what a caring community can do together — one thoughtful card at a time.
